About

The heart of who we are.

Forever Becoming YOUth was founded in 2026 in Denver. Here is the mission, the people behind it, and the standards we have set for ourselves.

Mission

To defend the rights and dignity of young people facing juvenile charges in Colorado and provide the guidance, programs, and reentry support they need to move forward.

Vision

A Colorado where every youth involved in the juvenile justice system has access to fair, effective legal representation, meaningful support, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

Co-founders

Two people who kept seeing the same gap.

Founding Partner, Roy Law Firm

Shannon has spent fifteen years helping people change the direction of their lives, and for more than a decade has personally mentored young professionals and people affected by the criminal justice system. One pattern kept surfacing: so many of them had grown up without a father, or without any consistent father figure. That gap is why this organization exists.

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Hugo leads program delivery and daily operations, and is the organization’s designated safeguarding lead. A former Olympian, middle-school principal, college basketball coach, and entrepreneur, Hugo has seen and lived the direct impact of navigating manhood without the guidance of a father. His real life experience not only helps him present the curriculum, it allowed him to create it.

Board of directors

Seated, named, accountable.

What We Stand For

Every young person is more than a charge, a court date, or a difficult moment. They are still becoming, and they deserve the chance, guidance, and support to shape what comes next.

Forever Becoming YOUth stands for the rights and dignity of young people involved in Colorado’s juvenile justice system. We also believe support should extend beyond the courtroom. Through youth programs and reentry support, we help young people build practical skills, connect with trusted adults, navigate school and community resources, and find their footing as they return home.

We stand for fairness, compassion, accountability, and the belief that a young person’s future is not defined by their hardest chapter. A case may end, but becoming continues.

Get Involved.

Help us defend our youth and empower them to build a brighter future.
