Get involved
We need adults who will keep showing up.
Not heroes. Not experts. Adults who can show up for eight weeks and mean it. Consistency is the entire active ingredient, and it is the hardest thing to recruit for.
Facilitate a circle
What we are asking for
- Weekly in-person sessions for eight weeks, plus about an hour of preparation per session. It is a real commitment and we would rather say so now.
- Co-leading a circle of up to fifteen young people with a second trained adult. You are never alone with young people.
- Willingness to follow a written curriculum rather than improvise.
- Completing a background check, fingerprinting, and safeguarding training before you meet a child.
You do not need a counseling background or experience with young people. You need to be reliable, coachable, and able to pass a background check. We train the rest, and we pay a stipend for a full circle rather than treating your time as free.
Read our safeguarding standards first. If anything there gives you pause, that is the right reaction and we want to hear it.

Schools, community sites, employers
We would rather borrow your room than build one.
We deliberately do not carry a facility. Circles run in schools, community centers, and faith spaces that already have the trust of a neighborhood, which puts the money into the program instead of a lease.
What a site partner provides: a consistent, semi-private room for each weekly session, eight weeks running, and a named contact. What we provide: trained and screened facilitators, the curriculum, the materials, insurance, and the measurement.
We’re also seeking referral partners and employers looking to offer their teams a meaningful, genuinely useful volunteer opportunity.
Lawyers and law students
Take one case a kid would face alone.
- Colorado attorneys: pro bono expulsion hearings, city court tickets outside Denver, and record-sealing petitions. Supervised by our responsible attorney, with conflict checks before anything is assigned.
- Law students and clinics: research, know-your-rights sessions, and work under a supervising attorney where court rules allow.
- Firms and bar groups: sponsorship, training, and referral partnerships. A written agreement keeps every attorney's judgment independent.
Lend a skill
Evaluation, accounting, design, or grant writing. Early organizations are built out of favors, and we will tell you exactly what we need.
