Programs

No matter the beginning, each child gets the opportunity to create their own future.

Every young person begins with the same foundation: Becoming Core, an eight-week course designed to help them build self-awareness, confidence, and direction. From there, each young person follows the path that best fits their needs.

A program built exclusively for the youth we represent. Nobody in the program is known for their case. Nobody is judged by their mistakes.

The foundation

Becoming Core

Eight weeks, 40 hours in all, for ages 10 to 18. Circles of up to 15 with two trained, background-checked adults present every single time.

  • Weekly in-person sessions
  • One portable tool a week, practiced out loud with peers
  • Scored skill demonstrations in weeks 4, 5 and 8
  • Everyone leaves with a written 90-day plan and a named trusted adult

  1. Week 1

    Identity & Values

Who am I, and who am I trying to become. Young people map what they actually value and draw a picture of their future self.

    They keep Identity Map

  2. Week 2

    Emotional Skills

How feelings work and where they land in the body. Naming one is most of handling one.

    They keep Pause, Name, Choose

  3. Week 3

    Confidence & Self-Talk

The inner critic against the inner coach. Catching the voice, then flipping it.

    They keep The Inner Coach

  4. Week 4Scored

    Communication

Saying a hard thing well. Scored demonstration of an I-statement.

    They keep I-Statements

  5. Week 5Scored

    Boundaries & Peer Pressure

Spotting pressure early and holding a line. Scored demonstration of a refusal.

    They keep The Boundary Script

  6. Week 6

    Resilience

A setback is information. Turning a real one into a next step.

They keep Setback to Lesson to Next

  7. Week 7

    Habits & Goals

How small habits stack into change. Everyone starts one and tracks it.

    They keep The Habit Tracker

  8. Week 8Scored

    Decision-Making & Future Self

Running a real choice through a filter. Scored demonstration, then the 90-day plan.

    They keep The Decision Filter

The capstone

Becoming Leaders

A year-long layer on top of Core, and a visible ladder rather than a vague promise. Each young person climbs it one structured step at a time: participant, peer leader, circle co-facilitator, then seat on the youth advisory council, and lastly project lead.

  • A Leadership Lab where youth take turns actually running the session
  • Eight monthly civic-immersion visits, on a prepare, experience, reflect arc: government, public safety, infrastructure, justice, economy, health, higher education, service
  • A youth advisory council that helps decide part of the budget
  • A youth-led community project, presented publicly at a showcase

The alumni pathway

Becoming Corps

Graduation should be a gateway to a horizon, not the end of the road.

Capstone graduates come back in paid, part-time roles: assistant facilitator alongside a trained adult, or community ambassador telling the program's story. They gain a real first job with purpose, and we gain facilitators who know the model from the inside out.

What comes next

Tailored programs to deepen impact

Each one is a specialized track that builds on Becoming Core rather than replacing it. We are naming them so you can see the whole plan, and each track starts the day it is funded.
